About Bill

A therapist for 30 years and more, he draws upon a life of experience paired with skills, training and knowledge to guide and support people to find within their own strengths, resolve and their natural wisdom. This brings forth the resilient and hope to live a life well worth living. Bill works with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, addiction, attachment rupture, emotional distress, family conflict and grief and loss and more.
Bill works with couples to find the love that has faded and become tarnished, seeking a connection with the loved one and coming away disappointed. When we can work back to the intimate openness, the touching of the heart, and bringing this forward, into this present time, we can hold and nurture the hope and joy, and to rekindle the care and love for each other. Relationship skills and knowledge are key ingredients to bring this to fruit. Often not easy, but well worth the effort.
Much of Bill’s career has focused on families, parenting, youth and children. These are powerful, changing dynamics for all families. Bill uses a variety of skills and education to support parents and the children to create a more harmonious family.
Bill has worked in various Drug and Alcohol and treatment centers and in his own private practice. Bill’s door is open for all who struggle with addiction and seek to be supported on their road to recovery.
Within each person, there is the potential to manage and cope with their own internal struggles and that of the world. Bill combines Somatic Psychology (the body’s knowledge), needs and wants of emotions (using focusing therapy) and cognitive ability skills to gain insights and to act (Cognitive Behavior Therapy). These skills can bring forth a person’s own joy, hope and well-being. Again, not easy, but we do have the choice on how to response, and not to react.
