SUMMARY:Practice Labs: Supervision of Supervision
DESCRIPTION:Supervision of supervision is a reflective space where supervisors examine their own supervision practice\, receiving feedback and support. This process helps supervisors clarify their model for supervision\, refine their interventions\, understand how their values and identities shape their work with supervisees and deepen their inner wisdom. \nRegular Supervision of Supervision practice strengthens supervisory confidence\, deepens ethical awareness\, and ultimately improves the quality of supervision offered to others. \nThese three online practice labs invite experienced supervisors and consultants to deepen their capacity to supervise supervision itself\, using a relational\, reflective frame illustrated in part through the seven-eyed model of supervision. Across the series\, participants will bring real supervision dilemmas and questions\, work collaboratively with peers\, and receive feedback on their supervisory style\, interventions\, and use of self in the supervisory relationship. \nEach session is highly experiential and requires that participants are already providing clinical supervision to others. \nThrough practice\, case discussions\, and focused reflection\, the group will explore how both our practice and selves show up in Supervision of Supervision work\, and how these factors shape both process and outcomes. \nIt is expected that you will be able to show up live and actively participate for all three sessions to get your certificate of attendance.

SUMMARY:Working with Autistic Clients: Foundations of a Neuro-affirming Practice
DESCRIPTION:Many autistic adults arrive at our offices already impacted by years of navigating a world not built for them\, depleting their energy through masking\, and struggling within systems meant to support them. \nThis workshop offers you\, as an RCC\, a deeper understanding of what neuro-affirming care truly is. \nMany practitioners believe they’re offering neuro-affirming care when the reality is more complex. Neuro-affirming care isn’t just about being supportive. It’s a paradigm shift that requires deeper work and a willingness to sit with discomfort. \nThis workshop will guide you through: \n\nUnderstanding the Neurodiversity Paradigm: What it really means to be neuro-affirming\, why it stands apart from other modalities\, and how behavioralist approaches can conflict with affirming care\nLanguage that matters: Moving beyond person-first language and understanding the neuro paradigm accurately\nDeveloping a neuro-affirming lens: A way of being with autistic clients that shapes the therapeutic environment you create\nAdapting your practice: Making shifts in how you approach working with autistic clients to create environments where they can thrive\nPost-diagnosis support: Navigating systems\, securing accommodations\, and preventing burnout for clients living in ableist spaces\nReal stories impact: Hearing from practitioners about the harm caused by non-affirming approaches\, and how to avoid those missteps\n\nThis workshop features two incredibly dedicated presenters who bring both lived and professional experience. Dr. Juliane Dmyterko & Autistic RCC Oralie Loong will first build your foundational knowledge\, then help you translate these concepts directly into your RCC practice through case studies and clinical application. \nYou’ll walk away with: \n\nA model of neuro-affirming care you can apply immediately\nUnderstanding of what it looks like if you want to be “neuro-affirming” in practice\nGreater confidence in supporting autistic clients and less chance of causing unintentional harm\n\nThis is challenging\, transformative\, and hopeful work. Join us to deepen your cultural competency and become a safer\, more affirming practitioner for your autistic clients.
