Honouring National Truth and Reconciliation Day

September 30th is a National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a new federal statutory holiday.

The day honours the lost children and Survivors of residential schools, their families, and communities. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process.

BCACC Head Office will be closed on September 30th, and our staff has committed to using this day for reflection and learning. In that spirit, we are sharing some actions we’ll be taking that you can too.
