About Cara
Hi! I’m Cara. I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) based in Vancouver with over a decade of experience.
I specialize in helping teens and adults with intense emotions feel grounded, confident, and at home in themselves — without having to shrink who they are. Whether you’re navigating PTSD, depression, anxiety, OCD, BPD or other complex mental health issues, in our work together, nothing is “too much.”
You might be tired of holding it all together on the outside while feeling stuck in overthinking, shame, or self-criticism. Maybe there are intrusive thoughts, old patterns or traumas you can’t seem to shake on the inside no matter how hard you try. You want relief, but you also want to understand yourself more deeply and feel truly seen.
I offer a warm, attachment-oriented and trauma-informed approach where your emotions will be met with compassion, curiosity, and skill. I draw on evidence-based approaches — including DBT, ERP, CBT, and EMDR — blending structure with flexibility so therapy meets you where you are. Together, we’ll build inner resources, heal old wounds, and help you navigate life with greater steadiness and self-trust.
I offer both in-person and online sessions, with direct billing to CVAP, FNHA, and certain private insurers. Complimentary consultations are available so we can explore whether we’re the right fit. I’d be honored to support your healing.
