Non-Pathologizing Approach to Counselling – Listening to the Client’s Protest Language with Michael Towers

Reimagine counselling beyond diagnosis at this one-day, in-person workshop: Non-Pathologizing Approach to Counselling – Listening to the Client’s Protest Language with Michael Towers. This energized, immersive training will help you translate your existing modalities into non-pathologizing practice grounded in systems language, empowerment, and respect for client experience. You will learn to hear and work with clients’ protest language, drawing out preferred narratives and identities, and explore a new CORE clinical note model that meets ethical and legal requirements, including those of the new BC college.

  • Establish safety and connect with clients’ internal experiences.
  • Identify and transform survival communication and coping patterns.
