About Ann
Marie is a Registered Clinical Counsellor, a Certified BC teacher with a Masters of Education focusing on special education. Marie has over 20 years of experience working with children/youth.
Marie has worked with many indigenous children and youth affected by intergenerational trauma. She is a First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) Health Benefits mental health service provider.
Marie has extensive experience teaching special education and has held administrative positions in schools (K-12) exclusively for children and teens with learning differences (eg., dyslexia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD). She is available to consult with parents, students, and schools to help demystify learning differences and to recommend supports that promote academic and emotional growth.
She speaks fluent English and Jamaican patois.
