About Jessica
For many, counselling is a journey toward a different perspective, one that helps us notice the thoughts, feelings, and patterns that keep us stuck. Sometimes this stuckness shows up as chronic stress, burnout, depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, substance use, or traumatic reactions. Often, the people I work with are in helping professions—educators, health care providers, social service workers—people others rely on, yet who rarely have the space to set down what they’ve been carrying.
I am an active, engaged therapist. This means I don’t just listen quietly; I collaborate with you in real time, offering reflections, asking questions, and helping you notice shifts as they happen. Many of my clients have tried other counselling approaches and are looking for something deeper, more present, and more attuned to what’s unfolding in the moment.
My approach is trauma-informed, grounded in mindful, collaborative, and values-based perspectives. I integrate a body-centred, present-moment focus to explore your needs, wants, and strengths while noticing the adaptive strategies that once helped you cope but may now be keeping you stuck.
When we feel safe and understood, we connect with our natural ability to heal. Together, we’ll uncover the inner wisdom and resilience that has carried you this far, and create space for new ways of being that align with your values.
Deciding to see a counsellor is a courageous step toward change, clarity, and self-trust. My hope is for you to leave our work feeling more able to navigate life with confidence, equipped with strategies that honour both your wellbeing and the life you envision for yourself.
