About Natasha

I use an integrative approach to practice. I have found that trauma-informed Somatic (body-centred) Therapy is a fundamental component in the process of healing on all levels, complemented by attachment-based talk therapy, guided visualizations, IFS/chair work, mindfulness practices, working with dreams, and the building of your toolbox for resourcing and resilience. Whatever your life circumstances, I bring compassionate presence and insightful inquiry to support you in your healing journey.

My training as a psychotherapist began in London, England where I completed a 5 year training to qualify as an IntegrativeTranspersonal Psychotherapis, after which I intitally worked as a psychotherapist and grief counsellor for adults. Once living and working in Canada I added to my toolbox by training as a Relational Somatic Trauma Therapist. Having been a long time meditator, I further expanded my training and experience to include the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction training from the Centre for Mindfulness Studies in Toronto. I also designed and faciltiated personal growth workshops and groups, as well as facilitating the Awakening of Love process, part of the Internationally available psycho-spiritual Path of Love process.

Following a long time interest in the mind-body connection, I eventually integrated my specialisaions in working somatically with trauma/PTSD and bringing mindfulness practices to trauma, stress and anxiety to further train and specialise in chronic pain. I now practice out of a multidisciplinary pain clinic, where I specialise in trauma and chronic pain, while still maintaining part of my practice to work with anxiety, grief, addictions, relational challenges, and general matters of personal growth.

In addition to my private practice I work with Pain BC delivering their Making Sense of Pain program, and am contracted through Pain BC to work as a Mentor for the Health Canada funded BC Adaptive Mentorship Network, mentoring health care providers on clinical practice involving chronic pain, mental health and substance use.
