Your Path to Becoming an RCC

Save $200 on your RCC application fee when you apply for registered membership as a student member. This eliminates a major cost barrier and makes transitioning from student to professional counsellor more affordable.

Advocacy

Over 37 years, the BCACC has championed the profession in various fora and will continue to do so. Our dedicated team meets with decision makers, government stakeholders, partner organizations, HR representatives and attends conferences throughout the year to create opportunities for our members.

GST Exemption

RCCs exempt from charging GST for Psychotherapy services (Jan 2025). This means you can remove potential cost barriers for your clients when you become an RCC.

ICBC

RCCs included in ICBC’s recovery network (May 2025). This means you can join ICBC’s recovery network when you become an RCC.

Veteran Affairs

Benefit Partners Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) – VAC adds RCCs to approved providers list (Aug 2025). This means you can provide services for VAC when you become an RCC.

Direct Billing

RCCs can submit claims directly to the Pacific Blue Cross (PBC). This means you can direct bill PBC when you become an RCC.
