The BACC offers a series of free online public presentations called Matters of the Mind focusing on relevant and timely topics related to mental well-being. We’re contributing to the wellness of all British Columbians by fostering community connection, breaking stigma, and providing empowering information to help people through complexity.

We’ve run two excellent presentations with a focus on workplace wellness. Feel free to watch and share with anyone who you think might find these valuable.

1. Workplace Wellness for Leaders

As leaders, we must practice what we preach. We not only need to talk about what a psychologically safe workplace is, we need to act in alignment with it.

In this session, Kelsey Grimm talks about the contributing factors of a psychologically safe workplace and what you can do to create it.

2. The Hidden Mental Costs of Toxic Workspaces

From feeling undervalued to enduring daily negativity, toxic environments can leave a lasting imprint on our mental well-being. Zakia Ovington, an RCC has over 20 years of experience in the corporate world. This session offers strategies to cope, heal, and advocate for change.
