About Renee
Renee Bueckert is a Registered Clinical Counsellor in good standing with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (reg.#14018) having completed a Masters in Counselling Psychology at the University of British Columbia. She is also a trained and experienced EMDR therapist.
Renee specializes in the treatment of PTSD, anxiety, and dissociation, and have unique knowledge & skill in the areas of traumatic brain injury and post-concussion syndrome. Renee is an ICBC service provider offering direct billing for counselling sessions if you are eligible, as a result of a motor vehicle accident (MVA). Her focus is on improving the dynamic between cognition and the nervous system to mitigate distressing symptoms. She has developed an in-depth understanding of life after traumatic brain injury, helping her clients re-invent their lives and find joy.
Renee also has a strong background in vocational rehabilitation and designing gradual return-to-work plans after injury or illness, providing legal assessment reports for the court as a subject matter expert. She is an instructor for Douglas College teaching Vocational Rehabilitation to students across Canada.
