About Baljit
I work with individuals who have a wide range of needs but are all working towards a common goal – developing a deeper understanding of themselves. I have experience working with both adolescents & adults who are overcoming various obstacles – from depression and anxiety, to trauma and grief, to vocational and relationship issues. Whatever the situation they are facing, I truly view all clients as resilient individuals who can recover and thrive from such difficult life experiences.
Offering support in both English and Punjabi, I utilize a variety of theoretical & research-based methodologies, such as CBT, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-based Somatic Therapy & other holistic and integrative approaches. I practice through a trauma-informed lens which helps clients find & connect with their natural wisdom, strength and healing capacity.
I believe that when we speak of overall health and wellness, it is not just about physical health, but should include our thoughts, feelings and emotions as well. Talking about these thoughts and verbalizing these feelings is a way to organize the chaos in one’s mind, heart and spirit, looking more deeply into ourselves and exploring our lives.
