Seyedmohammad Kalantar, Ph.D., M.Ed., RCC, (he/him), is a compassionate and highly skilled clinical counsellor who offers therapy to individuals, couples, and families. With an extensive twelve-year background in clinical practice and a recognized registration to provide counselling services, he specializes in addressing various mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, stress, grief, loss, trauma, ADHD, and anger management issues. Additionally, he possesses expertise in enhancing parenting skills, strengthening romantic relationships, marriage counselling, and pre-marriage counselling.
He employs an integrative and client-centered approach to therapy, valuing the unique needs of each individual. He places great importance on diversity, human dignity, and cultural differences, employing an existential-humanistic perspective. Drawing from a wide range of evidence-based modalities and therapeutic factors, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion and Mindfulness-based therapies, Attachment-based therapies, client-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical-Behavior Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Gottman Method, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic, Solution-focused therapy, and Systemic Therapy, he tailors personalized and effective treatments for his clients.
Recognizing the distinctiveness of each client, Mohammad actively collaborates with them to develop customized treatment plans that address their specific needs. He fosters a warm, secure, and confidential environment, encouraging clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and feelings freely.

He earned his Ph.D. in counselling, specializing in Couple and Family Therapy, from the University of Putra, and he holds an M.Ed. in Counselling Psychology from the University of Ottawa.
He has been privileged to serve as a faculty member and University Professor for over twelve years at various esteemed universities. Throughout this period, he has imparted comprehensive instruction in psychology and counselling courses to both graduate and undergraduate students. In addition, he has provided academic and clinical supervision to numerous students, nurturing their growth and development. His dedication to advancing the field is evident in his publication of numerous scientific articles in international journals, contributing to the ongoing discourse surrounding effective therapeutic practices.
Recognizing the perpetual value of lifelong learning, he firmly believes in the continuous pursuit of knowledge from infancy to old age. To remain abreast of the latest developments in the field, he actively engages in diverse avenues of professional growth. These include conducting research, teaching at universities, attending workshops, academic conferences, and training sessions, all of which he enthusiastically embraces to expand his expertise and stay current in the field.
