National 2024 CSAE Association Centre of Excellence Award
On November 1, 2024, BCACC was been awarded the National 2024 CSAE Association Centre of Excellence Award for its efforts in getting the profession of psychotherapy designated in British Columbia.
The award recognizes “outstanding team achievements and organisations’ initiatives to advance association excellence in alignment with the competencies of the Certified Association Executive (CAE®) program”
Recognition by Vancouver Division of Family Practice
The BCACC and its Registered Clinical Counsellors are featured as trusted mental health resources by the Vancouver Division of Family Practice in their “Choosing Therapy” patient resources.
The Division recommends RCCs as qualified mental health practitioners, specifically outlining the qualifications, services, and ethical standards of BCACC members to help patients navigate private therapy options.

“Connection to Care” Program Expansion
Connection to Care is a confidential mental health helpline providing barrier-free counseling services to BC workers through RCCs and supervised master’s-level students. The program allows workers to access immediate support without appointments or sharing personal information.
Originally launched in partnership with the BC Municipal Safety Association (BCMSA) in May 2024, Connection to Care was expanded in January 2026 to include the BC Forest Safety Council (BCFSC), bringing mental health support to forest industry workers across BC.
This expansion demonstrates growing institutional trust in BCACC’s capacity to deliver accessible, quality mental health services at scale.
