About Alistair
Alistair is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Psychotherapist, the Founder and Director of Wellspring Counselling & Psychotherapy Inc., a published author, and an Adjunct Professor of Counselling Psychology at the University of British Columbia. He is also the developer of CorMorphosis™ Psychotherapy, a cutting-edge, integrative approach rooted in emotional transformation and experiential change.
Clinically trained in EMDR, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Alistair draws from a broad foundation of evidence-based practices. His therapeutic work spans anxiety, stress, trauma, anger, phobias, and life transitions, as well as mild to moderate depression.
In addition to treating emotional and psychological issues, Alistair supports clients in self-discovery, building self-esteem, navigating major life decisions, enhancing parenting strategies, and fostering effective communication for stronger relationships. He believes therapy is not just about resolving problems—it’s about actualization, growth, and thriving.
Outside of his professional life, Alistair is a dedicated father and husband, and passionate his own journey of self-actualization. His passions include world history, philosophy, military strategy, global peace-building, conflict resolution, the art of constructive debate, and martial arts.
