About Angela
We all experience pain, joy, suffering, and growth in our lives, and a lot of it happens in relationships. I believe that the counselling relationship can be very powerful in giving us opportunities to experience healing and growth. My approach to therapy is to provide you with acceptance, support, and understanding in order to help you work toward better mental health and well-being. I would love to come alongside you as you take this courageous step!
I work with children, adolescents, and adults for individual, couples, or family counselling.
I have completed a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and have experience with a wide range of clients from working at Child and Youth Mental Health, Community Services, and in private practice. My approach to therapy draws from several theories to help each individual person grow and heal. I have some additional training in Emotion-Focused Family Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy for adolescents, and Sandtray Therapy. I have taken courses in complex trauma, grief, addictions, sex therapy, ADHD, ASD, chronic pain, multicultural counselling, cultural safety, and counselling in Indigenous communities.
I understand the vulnerability and courage that it takes to reach out to somebody for
help. I want to acknowledge your bravery and strength. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about counselling or if you would like to set up an appointment. I offer phone and online video counselling. Please inquire about reduced session fees if needed.
I am currently accepting new clients. Please email me at [email protected] or text/call 778-687-3980
