About Judy

Judy has a love for helping people live their lives to their greatest potential. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, families, individuals and couples in a safe and supportive setting, and is sought out by clients who are looking for support in dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief and loss in their lives. The skills needed to address these issues are specifically supported by her training in EMDR, Critical Incident Stress Management with Children, Threat Assessment and Trauma Response, CBT with Children and Adolescents, Non-violent Crisis Intervention, and Friends for Life, a program designed to help children deal with anxiety.

Training as a Restorative Justice facilitator with a focus on Family Relational Systems has given Judy a high level of understanding of family dynamics and how to help families deal with normative life issues such as premarital counselling, remarriage counselling, blended families, marital problems, separation and divorce, and young adults leaving home.

Judy was trained in Multigenerational Family Systems Therapy at Pacific Coast Family Training Institute in Vancouver. She holds a B Ed from the University of Alberta, a Masters in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto, and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors,
