About Katherine
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Victoria. I began my career working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and joined Child and Youth Mental Health in 2007 where I worked as a mental health clinician for four years and a clinical supervisor for eight. I started my private practice in 2015 where I work with children, youth, adults, and families with concerns ranging from anxiety and depression to complex developmental trauma. I am a neurodiversity-affirming therapist and I especially interested in helping clients understand themselves in the context of their relationships and I am passionate about developing resilience in children and youth.
I am a certified coder of the Adult Attachment Interview and a certified trainer in Modified Interaction Guidance. I have extensive training in ADHD, Infant Mental Health, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, EMDR, Complex Developmental Trauma, Suicide Risk Assessment, Mental Health Assessment, Expressive Therapies, Reflective Parenting Group Facilitation, Circle of Security Intervention, Clinical Supervision, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
