About Lisa

*Currently accepting new clients*

You’re probably here because you’re struggling in some way. Maybe you find you’ve lost your way or feel stuck. Perhaps you’re hurting emotionally. Or you feel alone and like no one understands you. It could be all of that and more. Life can be so messy and hard. Counselling can help. There is hope. You may be struggling, but you are not broken.

Since graduating with my Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Alberta in 2010, I have worked as a counsellor within government and non-profit organizations helping children, youth, adults, couples, and families. I have supported people with a range of challenges including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, sexual abuse, self-harm, suicidal ideation, disordered eating, anger, grief and loss, life transitions, substance use, and more.

In over 20 years of working with people and 12 years as a counsellor, I have come to strongly believe that people make sense. It is possible to come to an understanding of yourself, your emotions, and your struggles. I aim to understand you in a whole way and to recognize you exist within a particular context. I strive to listen deeply, to be genuine, and to really see you.

I fundamentally believe we are all doing our best with what we’ve got right now. And sometimes we need extra support from someone, like a counsellor. I would love to help you find relief, connect with what matters to you, and experience greater fulfillment in your life. With warmth, compassion, and curiosity, I will walk with you on this journey of change.
