About Shelley
Dr. Shelley Iberg, M.A., R.C.C., Ph.D. is a Certified in Brainspotting Therapist which is a leading edge modality used to work through many issues including trauma. She has taken extensive training in Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy including assisting trainers in this modality. She has experience as a supervisor for people in group work. She has taken years of training to hone her skills including Sandtray therapy, and has an extensive mental health background in a number of modalities. She has a home office in Nanaimo and can also offer sessions via telephone or zoom for people out of the immediate area.
Shelley is also trained as a coach, and has a Ph.D. from the University of Sedona in Philosophy and Spirituality (2020). She began her career as a Recreation Therapist which has assisted her in helping to find people’s passions and purpose. She later earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Calgary in Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies (2000). She completed her Masters of Arts in Counselling in 2004 through City University in Vancouver.
Shelley has a style that is both interactive, experiential and warm. People in all walks of life have commented that not only does she truly connect with each person with her warmth, her presence, and ability to meet a person where he/she or they are at, but she also is able to move people out of a place of stuckness and into their preferred futures. She works with individuals, children and couples.
