About Bahare
Bahare Mazinani is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with BCACC and a Ph.D. Candidate in Psychology at the University of British Columbia, Okanagan Campus. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Education of Children with Specialized Needs from the University of Tehran and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the Medical University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences in Tehran, Iran. With more than four years of experience working as a psychotherapist, she provides counselling and psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, and immigrants.
Bahare offers psychotherapy for a range of concerns, including anxiety, stress, depression, self-esteem issues, and relationship challenges. She is particularly passionate about working with individuals navigating major life transitions, providing specialized mental health support for immigrants facing culturally sensitive issues in Canada.
Bahare is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), but her main therapeutic approach is Schema Therapy. Bahare’s approach is collaborative, supportive, and culturally sensitive, with an emphasis on helping clients identify maladaptive patterns that may hold them back and develop healthier ways of coping, relating, and thriving. Bahare is fluent in both English and Farsi and offers counselling services in both languages.
