2025

For World Mental Health Day 2025, the BCACC organised the illumination of BC Legislative Assembly in Victoria, BC.

The initiative was meant to:

At dusk on Friday, the Ceremonial Entrance, front fountain, back fountain of the Parliament Buildings, Confederation Garden Park fountain and waterfall lit up in green – the colour associated with World Mental Health Day. BCACC staff were present at the venue, sporting sweatshirts with the message ‘Be Kind to your Mind’, the association’s theme for the year.

2024

The year’s theme was connected to Workplace Mental Health. The importance of mental health in the workplace cannot be stressed enough. 70% of employed Canadians are concerned about psychological safety and health in the workplace, yet many of them suffer in silence and do not seek help when needed, resulting in a direct impact on physical/mental well-being.
