About Delyse

I am dedicated to connecting with you and supporting your journey toward a freer, more vibrant, and authentic self. When you work with me, you will find a presence that is:

Safe and Grounded: People consistently report feeling secure, seen, and deeply listened to.

Attentive and Responsive: I am fully present, offering deep listening while also being interactive and ready to challenge you when it serves your growth gently.

My goal is to help you create a connection to yourself that is compassionate, curious and accepting.  The potential for this kind of relationship to self, I have found, to be freeing and empowering.  I look forward to meeting every new person who walks through my door and working together to heal the discouraged, disillusioned, or betrayed parts you carry.

Whatever your struggles are, there is a way through. Let’s discover it together.

My Identities
As a cisgender white female, a Queer first-generation settler from the UK/Europe, and a person with mild neurodivergence, I bring a unique set of lived experiences to our work. I know that our past shapes us. The “go it alone” perspective I learned in childhood, while driving me to achieve, masked a deep-seated longing for connection. Through my own work transforming perfectionism and shame, I found ease with vulnerability—and I want to offer that possibility to you.

My Approach: Empowering You to Live on Your Terms

Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you. It’s about empowering you to live life on your terms. We will collaborate to build your resilience and capacity to face life’s challenges with strength and confidence.

The Power of Awareness, Self-Compassion and Connection.

Focus on the Present: True transformation begins with awareness. We’ll slow down, reflect, and delve into the present moment to unlock the power of your past and current experiences.

Integrated Healing: We use neuroscience-backed techniques to help you integrate new insights, leading to lasting change. I work primarily from an Internal Family Systems (IFS) perspective and process.  Bringing the power of Self-Compassion to transform the fear, shame and judgement that parts of us have taken on in our efforts to survive and manage the world we live in.

Human Connection First: While techniques are valuable tools, experience has shown me that human connection and mutual understanding are the core conditions for real change.

Healing Relational Wounds (Individuals & Couples)

Relationships are central to all our lives. We will find what matters most to you: your energy for life and connection to your true self.

I specialise in Relational Life Therapy (RLT), a powerful and direct approach. I have trained in this method for over a decade because it aligns with my belief that change requires both determination and a willingness to look inward.

For Couples: RLT helps partners take an honest, clear-eyed look at their behavior within a supportive, empathic structure. We address the deep impact of societal imbalances (like patriarchy and racism) that affect power, intimacy, and communication.

Skills for Lasting Love: We will focus on developing crucial relationship skills, including boundaries, respectful feedback, effective negotiation, and the ability to repair hurts successfully.

My Personal Commitment: I know how hard it is to face your own part in a dynamic. Like you, I came from a family without healthy relationship models and had to transform my own patterns of over-functioning and defensiveness. I am walking the same journey as you, and I will work with you in a direct, yet deeply empathic way.

?t What to Expect: Your Journey to Change

In our first few sessions, we will focus on assessment and clarity. We will identify what is happening between you now, understanding that the past has brought you to this point.

Spotlight the Pain Points: We’ll use detailed examples of when things “go off the rails” to map out your interaction patterns clearly.

Immediate Change: Couples ready for this work often see change begin within a few sessions.

Deeper Work: We will then go deeper, working through developmental issues from your families and past relationships while actively practising new, healthier skills.

Change is challenging, but your most intimate relationships can be a powerful catalyst for becoming the best you can be. I am committed to helping you reach your goals and create a relationship that is a sanctuary from life’s stresses.
