My name is Christie Mackie and I am a Registered Clinical Counselor, living in North Vancouver, BC. I have worked with children, adolescents, and families in a variety of roles over the past 20 years, as mentor, coach, counselor, and group facilitator. I work as an associate in private practice with Kids Best Bet (https://macnamara.ca/counselling) – an organization founded by Dr. Deborah McNamara and rooted in Dr Gordon Neufeld?s ground-breaking work, which aims to support parents and caregivers in making sense of their children?s challenging and confusing behaviours. I am also a course facilitator and parent consultant as certified by the Neufeld Institute (neufeldinstitute.org).

I bring a kind, compassionate and non-judgemental approach to my therapy sessions. Connection and relationship are central themes in all of my roles, both personally and professionally. I am an unwavering advocate of children and the adults who seek to understand and help them and firmly believe that children can be our best teachers – through understanding them, we come closer to understanding ourselves.
