Julie (she/her) is an experienced youth, adult and family counsellor, clinically trained in a variety of mental health challenges including but not limited to, anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-injury, suicidality, as well as substance use challenges (concurrent disorders). She has experience working in a variety of settings including non-profit, hospital, outreach mental health, schools, and high risk community healthcare.
She specializes in supporting youth and young adults aged 15-35 and their families. She also works with adults and couples of any age with mental health and/ or life transitions including grief and loss and MAiD. Another area of focus is Couples Therapy working towards improved interpersonal communication.
Julie is trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities including DBT, CBT, motivational interviewing, brief collaborative solution focused therapy, EFFT, interpersonal therapy, narrative therapy, and trauma therapy, including trauma focused CBT.
Above all, Julie comes from a collaborative and compassionate trauma informed practice lens, working with clients, families and couples towards their self identified goals.
Clinical supervision for new or seasoned therapists available.
