About Amanda

Please reach out – I would love to hear from you.

Hello, I’m Amanda, a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), a Certified NeurOptimal Neurofeedback Trainer, and founder of BOOM Healing a forest based clinic in Anmore.

I work with clients to discover and unlock their capacity to heal and live a life they love and appreciate. I am passionate about, and work from, a nervous system lens because a healthy nervous system is key to feeling good and being well. I am neurodivergent and the mom of a neurodivergent kiddo and as such most of my clients have a connection to neurodivergence. One of my most important qualities as a counsellor is that I walk the talk. This means that I research and trial the techniques and skills that I bring forward during counselling. I see my role as a counsellor to come alongside clients in their healing work to offer guidance, security, co-regulation, and a safe sounding board. I am real and practical with clients; I know that life and healing work can be challenging to integrate at times and as such, I work with clients on realistic solutions. When appropriate, I also bring some levity to counselling and clients can anticipate laughter and tears. I am a natural healer and as such draw on my intuition, alongside best practices, when working with clients. My clients would describe me as down to earth, approachable, and safe.

Clients can anticipate a reflective and practical conversation. When you work with me, you can expect a perfectly imperfect counsellor who is always in the trenches. I believe there is no end game in life, just continuous learning, healing, connecting, and coming home to oneself.

I am available in person in Anmore (beside Port Moody) and online. If this brief introduction made an impression on you – please reach out today.
