About Chen
Chen Vu has a Master’s in Counselling Psychology (M.A.) and she is a Registered Clinical Counsellor. She specializes in providing counselling and therapy with clients who are experiencing difficulties with life transitions, identity, loss/lack of direction, meaninglessness, finding purpose, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, substance use or abuse, addiction, co-dependency, intimate partner violence, trauma, relationship troubles, and career or academic related struggles. Chen is trained in Existential Analysis and Logotherapy, in which she believes every individual is worthy and unique in their own potential. Additionally, she aims to assist individuals in discovering a way of living that is fulfilling and authentic. Chen is also trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), multi-cultural and trauma informed practice, and mindfulness based approaches, with a background in narrative therapy and motivational interviewing. With Chen, you can find a safe, empathic, and trusting place to explore your inner and outer life in relationship to self, others, the world, and your spirit/soul or larger purpose. She places emphasis on creating a space of deep understanding and non-judgment, where your true essence as a person can emerge and be seen. This can facilitate healing, growth, and change for a life of freedom and inner consent.
