About Daniel

Daniel Ducheck (MA, RCC) is an Art Therapist and Registered Clinical Counsellor with 9 years of counselling experience. His career in mental health has stretched across Canada and has landed in a variety of contexts working with children, youth, adults and elders from urban and rural communities. Using an anti-oppressive and culturally responsive lens, Daniel most recently had the privilege of serving the Tsilhqot’in First Nation community in Central BC as a Mental Wellness Counsellor. He is trained with a Master’s in Creative Art Therapy and is currently in Somatic Experiencing, trauma healing training (Intermediate level). He offers a wide range of art, play and body-based techniques to support a variety of challenges including stress, self esteem issues, identity, anxiety, depression, and relational difficulties. Daniel’s trauma-informed practice focuses on harnessing creativity and spontaneity as a means to explore new perspectives, broaden expression, and enhance tolerance for life’s challenges and instability.
