About Kendra
Flowa approaches healing and wellness from a Holistic perspective. Although counselling is traditionally thought of as talk-based, psychoanalysis, or talk-therapy (which do offer their own benefits), they only address top-down cognitive processes. That is, they are only addressing the mind. Much research shows the importance of the connection between the mind and the body. Therefore, it is necessary for both the mind and body to be present in the healing process. Through integration of the the body and addressing bottom-up processes, real and sustainable change is attainable. If you are experiencing anxiety, somatic issues, anger, depression, trauma, grief, or other strong emotions or feelings that are effecting your day-to-day life, going through a challenging time, or looking to delve deeper into yourself you may benefit from working with Flowa.

Did you Know?
Trauma-related issues, such as anxiety and depression, may arise from any experience that causes fear and immobility. This includes hospitalizations, illness, injury, being in tight spaces, abuse, and intoxication. If the body is unable to release excess energy that is activated during such experiences, trauma symptoms result. By addressing the body as well as the mind, Flowa helps you release this stuck energy so that your Whole Self can return to Balance. She creates a space of warmth and acceptance in which you can feel safe to open up and explore what it means to be you. The goals for therapy are left up to you because you know yourself better than anyone else. While Flowa is the expert on psychology and holistic healing and wellness, you are the expert on you. She holds space and incorporates her years of training and experience for you to explore your experience in order to achieve your goals.
