About Sarah
Life sends us challenges great and small that can add up over time and impact our mental and physical health. I’m a neurodivergent-affirming counsellor, and I’m neurodivergent myself — that lived experience shapes how I show up with clients. My approach isn’t about making you “less” ADHD or Autistic, or fixing what isn’t broken. It’s about helping you understand how your brain works, build a life that fits it, and heal from the ways the world hasn’t always made space for you.
Counselling is a safe space to cry, laugh, to be heard, and to reflect. It’s an opportunity to resolve and leave behind the past, envision the future, and practice new ways of thinking — at your own pace, without pressure to do it “the right way.”
My areas of focus:
-ADHD, Autism & AuDHD
-Highly Sensitive People (HSPs)
-Trauma & PTSD
-Anxiety & Phobias
-Addiction
-Self-Esteem
In addition to counselling, I’m passionate about the process of learning. I am trained in the Orton-Gillingham (OG) approach and in National Institute for Learning Development (NILD) educational therapy, and have worked with children to remediate dyslexia and other learning difficulties.
I work with individuals ages 13 and up, in-person in Port Moody or virtually across BC. I offer a free meet & greet — please feel free to reach out. I look forward to connecting!
