About Nicole
Hi, my name is Nikki. I’m registered with the BCACC with my legal name, Nicole, however, everyone calls me Nikki.
From a young age, I have loved listening to people’s stories and being a supportive person helping others explore their inner world.
I commonly work with folks who are wanting help with anxiety, perfectionism, their inner critic, feeling lost, chronically feeling low mood, having difficulty with their friendships and romantic partnerships, coping as best as they can after traumatic experiences and wanting additional support from a professional, and overall just folks who want to understand themselves better.
My hope is that therapy will help you make meaning out of your experiences, move you towards more harmonious relationships with your self and others, align you with your values, allow you to heal younger versions of yourself, help you lean into the peaks of life and tolerate the pitfalls more comfortably, and feel more at home in your body and mind.
I believe in transparency and choice and recognize that for some clients it is helpful to know who you are sitting with. So here is a little about my identities:
I identify as a cis woman (she/her) and heterosexual.
I grew up with the privilege of being a middle-class white settler.
I was born and raised in Richmond, on Musqueam Coast Salish territory.
My family heritage is Scottish, British, Austrian, and Norwegian.
As a human being:
I have attended therapy regularly for many years; therefore, I also have lived experience as a client and a person who is in-flux, stepping forward and backward, learning, and healing.
I have lived experience with anxiety, panic, emotional dysregulation and avoidance, low self-esteem, family history of tragic loss, and a family history of alcohol use for coping.
Outside of the therapy space, I like to walk in nature, read, go on overnight hikes, and practice yoga. I also have a wonderful dog named Chester.
