About Negin

Negin is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with a Ph.D. in Child Psychology from the University of Tehran. She gained additional expertise as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Neuropsychological Assessments at the University of British Columbia. Since 2012, she has worked at Atieh Neuroscience Clinic in Tehran, providing support for families facing challenges with their children. Her approach is characterized by empathy, compassion, and effective communication, enabling her to connect with clients and families. Negin offers child therapy, family therapy, and parent guidance to help families improve their relationships and overall well-being

Negin’s work with children and families addresses a range of issues, including behavioral problems, attentional challenges, anxiety, fearfulness, and social difficulties. She acknowledges that learning differences can contribute to problems in various settings, such as at home, school, and with peers. In therapy sessions, she takes a strengths-based approach and focuses on identifying what is working well, while also addressing concerns and issues. She offers practical solutions to parents whenever possible. Negin recognizes that parents are a child’s primary influence and that parenting can be demanding. Therefore, she works with the entire family to support them in improving their connection and communication, addressing individual needs, and providing emotional support to each other.

Throughout her career, Negin has developed expertise in a range of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT), and play therapy. She also provides case management services for more complex situations, working closely with other health professionals, schools, and organizations to ensure that the needs of children and families are met.
