About Debra

I am a leader in the field of spirituality and trauma and how they are linked together. I worked at a treatment centre and was the creator and director of a trauma program. Hundreds of men and women came through the program and found that by challenging themselves and being open to new concepts and how they could change their perspective in life have found meaning and purpose to their lives. I have worked at two major trauma hospitals in Ontario. While at McMaster and the University of Toronto I was chaplain in pediatrics ICU, HIV/oncology, palliative care, and emergency. I supported families after the one of a loved one, providing grief counselling, and facilitating memorial services and assisting in end of life care. I received my trauma training from Bessel van den Kolk a renowned trauma researcher and best selling author, and continues her studies with hm today. I have extensive experience working with firefighters, RCMP, military, Veterans, frontline workers, paramedics, and anyone who is struggling with life. I am very adversed in most modalities used in the therapy approach and meet people where they at.
