About Jessica
If you feel like your emotions are big or overwhelming at times, you’re not alone. And if you ever feel stuck or have difficulty understanding or expressing your feelings, you’re not the only one. However, I believe that you deserve a place to explore these feelings and their impact on your life. My passion is creating a space where you can feel safe to explore difficult thoughts and feelings with someone else walking by your side.
I believe our emotions can be powerful tools to help us navigate the world. However, that does not mean they are always easy to deal with or to understand. I desire to support you as you uncover their meaning in your life. I believe creativity, compassion, and relationship can be powerful tools in healing and nurturing the human soul.
I practice from a holistic approach and endeavor to foster connections between the mind, body, heart, soul, and spirit. The lens I work from considers, not just individuals, but the family systems and relationships in which individuals develop. My practice is based primarily in Emotion Focussed Therapy along with the use of Satir, Internal Family Systems, and Motivational therapy techniques. I have a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from ACTS at Trinity Western University and I have experience helping individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, ADHD symptoms, self-esteem, grief and loss, isolation, life transitions, traumatic experiences, chronic pain, borderline, and bipolar disorders.
