BCACC regularly conducts an environmental scan to determine a recommended fee rate for Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCCs) in private practice. This includes surveying its 7600+ membership, considering inflation rates, and assessing what other mental health professionals charge in BC and across Canada.
The purpose of this report is to support clinical counsellors by providing useful information they can use when deciding rates for services. Based on this analysis, BCACC recommends the following fee ranges. RCCs may choose to charge more or less depending on their individual circumstances and agreements.
DEFINITIONS
▪ Less Experienced RCCs: Less than 3 years post-masters
▪ More Experienced RCCs: 3-5 years post-masters + Relevant training and demonstratable skills
▪ Clinical Supervisors: Minimum of 5 years post-masters + Relevant training and demonstratable skills
