About Sofia
I’m a counsellor based in Victoria, BC, dedicated to providing compassionate and collaborative support for youth and adults navigating life’s challenges. With a background in Psychology, Education, Sociology, and trauma-informed care, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences, challenges, and strengths. My approach is rooted in Rogerian person-centered therapy, emphasizing empathy, deep listening, and genuine connection. I integrate collaborative, dialogical, and narrative therapy, alongside Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based modalities, tailoring each session to your unique needs.
As someone deeply attuned to the complexities of immigration, loss, and cultural transitions, I understand the grief and resilience that come with starting anew. Whether you’re facing emotional distress, anxiety, depression, trauma, or identity shifts, I’m here to support you in making sense of your experiences and moving toward healing and empowerment. Being a native Spanish speaker, I also provide counselling services in Spanish, ensuring language is never a barrier to receiving the support you deserve.
I welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Te acompaño en tu proceso de sanación y crecimiento, en inglés o en español.
Looking forward to meeting you!
