About Alexandra

I have always enjoyed connecting with and learning from others. This has driven my passion for mental health support for many years. Prior to completing my degree in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy at the University of Toronto, I frequently sought out work and volunteer positions that involved supporting others. During all of these experiences I was honoured to hear about and witness the strength and resilience of others and support someone in part of their life journey.

I aim to enter into relationships with new clients with empathy and compassion. My approach is trauma-informed and person-centred and anti-racist. I draw from training in body centred, emotion focused therapies that aim to connect you with and build upon the resources your body already has, explore attachment and relational patterns and foster a compassionate understanding of your experience.

I believe that a trusting and supportive relationship combined with self- compassion and a better understanding of yourself can create impactful change. My goal is to help you reinforce and build on your strengths, while exploring new or long -term challenges together in a space and relationship that is safe, supportive and dedicated to your well-being.

As you make the decision to try therapy, know that this is a brave step that isn’t always easy to make. You do not have to walk the whole way alone, and I’d be honoured to support you through part of your journey.

If you are interested in trying therapy, please note that I only offer online therapy in British Columbia.
