About David

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a specialty in supporting teen boys and their families through some of the most common and challenging issues of adolescence. My practice focuses on helping young men who are struggling with anger, depression, executive-function difficulties, addictive or compulsive behaviours, and family conflict.

With a background in CBT, executive-function coaching, and family systems work, I take a structured yet conversational approach that helps teens understand what’s driving their behaviour, build practical coping skills, and strengthen their relationships at home. I use clear goals, collaborative problem-solving, and measurement-based strategies to help clients track progress and gain confidence as they make meaningful changes.

Parents often come to me when communication has broken down, motivation has dropped, or conflict feels constant. I work closely with families to rebuild connection, improve routines, reduce negative patterns, and create a more supportive environment where teens can thrive. My style is warm, direct, and grounded in helping both teens and parents feel heard, respected, and equipped with tools that actually work in day-to-day life.

For families who desire it, I also offer Christian counselling, integrating faith-based principles with evidence-based therapeutic approaches. This can include exploring Christian perspectives on identity, resilience, purpose, and family unity—always at the level that feels right for the family.

My goal is to help teen boys and their families move from stress and struggle toward clarity, stability, and lasting change.
