Mental health advocacy is at the core of BCACC’s mission.

We work to improve access to care for the public, strengthen the ability of our members to deliver high-quality services, and advance the clinical counselling and psychotherapy profession within British Columbia’s healthcare system.

Our advocacy efforts are grounded in collaboration, evidence-informed policy, and a commitment to improving mental health outcomes for all British Columbians. Through engagement with government, health system partners, employers, insurers, and community organizations, BCACC helps ensure that the voices of clinical counsellors, psychotherapists, and the people they serve are represented where important decisions are being made.
