Hello and welcome— My name is Alex, and I’m so glad you’re here.
I live and work on the unceded territory of the Quw’utsun (Cowichan) peoples, part of the Coast Salish Nations, and I’m committed to ongoing reflection and practising with cultural humility.
My work is grounded in body-based awareness, systems thinking, and a deep respect for each person’s unique story. I bring both professional and lived experience to my work, including navigating queerness, chronic pain, and sex work. I’m passionate about destigmatizing these experiences and creating a space that feels affirming, collaborative, and rooted in care.
Outside of my practice, I’m a partner, dog-mum, gardener, dancer, and traveller.
I’ll meet you with empathy, curiosity, and genuine care.
—————————–
I work with individuals of all identities, ages (over 16yrs), and lived experiences. I hold a special interest in supporting people navigating:
-2SLGBTQA+ identities
-Sex and sexuality
-Gender identity and exploration
-Current and former sex work
-Chronic pain and the mind-body connection
-Trauma and complex trauma
-Alternative relationship structures, including polyamory and kink/BDSM
-Life transitions
-Non-suicidal self-injury
My Approach:
My work is rooted in client-centred care. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to support you in building insight, autonomy, and meaningful change in a way that aligns with your values.
I draw from a combination of approaches that honour both mind and body, including trauma-informed practices, somatic elements, emotionally-focused perspectives, parts-work, narrative therapy, and other therapeutic orientations. Together, we can explore patterns, process experiences, and move toward healing at a pace that feels right for you.
My intention is to co-create a space that feels safe-enough, affirming, and collaborative—one where all parts of you are welcome.
