About Rimsha

Feel heard. Find clarity. Move forward.

I believe that feeling truly heard can be the beginning of meaningful change. My goal is to create a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can slow down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and feel comfortable being your whole self.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and nearly six years of experience across counselling, addiction recovery, and rehabilitation settings. I support individuals and families navigating anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, relationship and family concerns, self-esteem, life transitions, workplace stress, and substance use, as well as periods of crisis and emotional distress.

My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and individualized. I draw from mindfulness-based approaches, motivational interviewing, and strengths-based practice, while incorporating creative and expressive techniques when they feel helpful. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all approach, I work with you to understand what you need and what meaningful change looks like for you.

As a BIPOC counsellor and Muslim, I bring an intersectional and culturally responsive lens to my practice. I recognize the ways culture, identity, family, faith, and lived experience can shape our mental health and healing. My practice welcomes clients of all backgrounds, identities, cultures, and beliefs, with care, curiosity, and respect.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Sometimes, the first step is simply having a place where you feel heard.
