About Annamarie

Hi! I’m Annamarie,

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with a Master’s of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I take a compassionate, curious, and whole-person approach to therapy. I believe meaningful change happens when we understand the connection between our thoughts, emotions, bodies, and nervous systems—and when we find approaches that truly resonate with the individual.

My path to counselling grew from my work in a medical pain clinic, where I became interested in hypnotherapy, neurofeedback, chronic pain, and the mind-body connection. I’m particularly interested in helping people develop a greater sense of safety within their bodies, reconnect with their strengths, and discover that change may be more possible than they imagined.

I offer individual counselling, hypnotherapy, EMDR, and somatic/mind-body/experiential approaches, tailoring our work to your needs rather than expecting you to fit a particular therapeutic model.

Areas I Support

Anxiety, stress & depression
Confidence, motivation & self-compassion
Phobias & fears
Weight management
Cravings & addictions
Lifestyle changes
Mood concerns
PTSD & trauma
Chronic pain
IBS

Therapy doesn’t have to look one particular way, and healing doesn’t have to follow one particular timeline.

My hope is that our work together helps you feel safe with me → safer within yourself → able to carry that safety into the world.

I work remotely with individuals 16 and older.
