About Alan
The theory of C.G. Jung strongly guides my practice. Jungian Analysis is unique for each individual. No single technique or method works for every patient or client. Jungian therapy involves providing insight about emotional difficulties, but goes beyond other analytic approaches by identifying natural potentials and energies within each person, thereby transforming our suffering and conflicts.
The aims of Jungian analysis are wholeness and individuation, not merely problem-solving and adjustment. Analysis can use a variety of life experiences as tools for supporting growth and change: dreams, fantasies, fascinations and visions, as well as creative activities like painting, writing and movement.
I have strong clinical interests in the processes of recovery from both personal and intergenerational trauma.
