About Alejandra
Hi, I’m Alejandra.
Thank you for stopping by.
Reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and whether you’re navigating a difficult season, carrying the weight of past experiences, or simply feeling stuck, you don’t have to do it alone.
I’m Alejandra Zibes (she/her), a bilingual (Spanish/English) Registered Clinical Counsellor with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges and transitions. I am also an instructor at Adler University, a Certified EMDR Therapist, and a Certified Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Practitioner.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I strive to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are—without judgment, pressure, or the need to have everything figured out. Together, we can make sense of difficult experiences, explore patterns that may no longer be serving you, and reconnect with your strengths, values, and hopes for the future.
I work with adults experiencing:
Anxiety, stress, and overwhelm
Depression and mood-related concerns
Life transitions and identity shifts
Relationship challenges
Trauma and difficult life experiences
Immigration and settlement-related experiences
Fertility, pregnancy, and reproductive journeys
Grief, loss, and emotional healing
Challenges related to self-worth, belonging, and navigating multiple roles and responsibilities
My work is grounded in an anti-oppressive, culturally responsive, and holistic perspective. I recognize that our wellbeing is shaped not only by our individual experiences but also by our relationships, communities, cultures, histories, and the larger systems we move through. I aim to offer a space where all aspects of your identity and lived experience are welcomed and respected.
As a counsellor, I am continually inspired by people’s resilience. Again and again, I witness the courage it takes to heal, adapt, and keep moving forward in the face of uncertainty, loss, and change.
I am also a mom to two teenagers who keep me humble, curious, and laughing more often than not. They remind me daily that growth is rarely linear and that being human is a beautifully messy process.
At the heart of my work is the belief that healing happens in connection—with ourselves, with others, and with the world around us. My hope is to offer a safe and supportive space where you can slow down, reflect, deepen your self-understanding, and move toward a life that feels more aligned with who you are.
I would be honoured to walk alongside you in that process.
