About Alison

Hi! I’m Alison and I offer mental health support for adults (19+) experiencing anxiety, depression, grief & loss, stress, and life transitions. I offer each client empathy and hope as they navigate through difficult experiences and painful emotions to reach their goals of a more manageable, full-filling, and meaningful life. For over a decade, I have witnessed the incredible human strength, resiliency, resourcefulness, and perseverance possessed in the face of hardship, pain, and barriers. From both my professional and personal experience, I have seen the relief and power that comes from the courageous step to seek support and how connection with safe and supportive people can help heal and restore us.

I support from a basic foundation of hope and compassion within a trauma – informed and systems focused lens believing each persons story consists of complexities between their unique past and present physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual parts. These elements shape who we were, who we are, and who we are becoming.

As each person and situation is unique, I incorporate a variety of evidenced based approaches and skills using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Emotion Focused Family Therapy.
