About Amanda

www.inletcounselling.com
I have a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from the University of Victoria. I am a registered clinical counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC membership #12756). I work within a trauma informed and strength based framework and incorporate the following therapeutic approaches: self-compassion, mindfulness, narrative therapy, solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, self-care, cognitive behavioural therapy and hopefully some humour. I have experience working with a diverse range of mental health including anxiety, depression, suicide, self-worth, boundaries, trauma, loss and our various ways of coping (substances, food, relationships etc.). I have additional training in Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), Emotional Freedom Technique (tapping), Zero Balancing, First Responder Health, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), Indigenous and Canadian Histories 101. I am committed to offering holistic person-centred care.

At this time, I am offering appointments for individual adults only.
