About Amanda

I am currently accepting clients both online and in-person in my office in downtown New Westminster, about a 5 minute walk from both the New West and Columbia skytrain stations.

I have experience delivering mental health support to both youth and adults related to a range of difficulties such as depression, anxiety, substance use and addictions, PTSD and trauma, emotional regulation, stress management, as well as more severe mental health symptoms and diagnosis such as psychosis, Schizophrenia, Bipolar, and also personality disorders such as Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD).

I use a trauma informed approach in my practice and am guided by evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT).

I integrate the use of technology in my practice as desired by my clients to enhance and deepen therapeutic work, including tools such as an EMDR light bar, tactile buzzers, and headphones, as well as virtual reality–assisted therapy for exposure, phobias, and related interventions.

I am known for creating a space that is safe, collaborative, compassionate, and client-centered and see it as a privilege to walk alongside my clients in working towards their goals. Please reach out to me to schedule a free 15 minute consultation to discuss your goals and to answer any questions you may have.

My schedule varies but I am currently available select weekdays, weekday evenings, and weekends 🙂
