About Amrita

Welcome! Do you come from a family with complex dynamics and feel like people don’t quite understand you? Have these experiences led to you being anxious, struggling to trust yourself or others? My unique understanding of these experiences allows me to hold space for those who feel unseen or unheard by people in their past or present life. I use EMDR, internal family systems, and somatic work that specialize in deepening people’s understanding of themselves, leading them to rediscover or redefine their authentic selves. I am passionate about doing this work with older youth and adults who are new or have past therapy experience.

If you experience anxiety, shame or people-pleasing, I hope to facilitate a space to hear more. Those rooted beliefs and loud inner critic that leads to “not good enough” or “something is wrong with me” can be immobilizing and challenging to navigate. Together, we can build a safe space to address your trauma, attachment, family, and cultural issues.

My approach takes a holistic view to better understand the context of the past and present and explore the system or culture in which you live. I am committed to uncovering the parts of you that don’t feel understood and are looking for clarity and compassion. With this understanding, we can learn what needs are unmet and work towards a more balanced you.
