About Anna
My approach to counselling is rooted in the idea that the body holds knowledge that cannot always be expressed through words. I aim to offer you a supportive space to explore your story: past, present, and future. I work with people experiencing discomfort in daily living, whether it be struggling with trauma/PTSD, substance use, disordered eating, religious deconstruction/reshaping, relationship struggles, and emotional discomfort.
I love working with clients towards embodiment, healthier self-care practices, personal insight and understanding, and emotional intelligence. I work primarily through an emotion-focused and somatic experiencing lens, allowing clients to understand the patterns within their behaviours, emotions, and bodies, and move towards greater wellness.
I believe that all people have potential and deserve the opportunity to be seen and celebrated for who they are. When you feel valued and worthwhile, you can move through difficult emotions knowing and trusting that you aren’t alone. My hope is that you leave our interactions feeling seen, heard, and supported in your endeavours.
