About Caitlin

Hello! Congrats on taking the first step towards counselling. I’m excited to walk alongside you on this journey.

I work as a Registered Counsellor & Social Worker with over 10 years experience. I offer virtual, outdoor & surf therapy to individuals aged 12+ in Ontario and BC. I’m a settler, originally from Scarborough, and I’m currently living on Salt Spring Island (Coast Salish and Nuu-chah-nulth territories). I often work with people experiencing: depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, life transitions, work stress, grief, trauma, & more! I’m particularly passionate about helping people reconnect with nature, and manage trauma. For more info, visit my website: www.steadyandwildcounselling.ca

I draw strongly on several approaches, including: mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, somatic therapy, anti-oppressive practice, eco-therapy, Wild psychology and CBT. I weave together research based approaches with more intuitive and mystical ways of being. We’ll focus on both emotional processing and practical coping skills.

My clients would describe me as super approachable, funny, and direct when needed. A bit about me: In my spare time I’m usually outdoors surfing, hiking, kayaking, or farming; meditating, going to yoga, or travelling. I have done much therapeutic work myself, and know how vulnerable it is to start! I am super excited to work with you!
